Bernie Sanders Comments:
One of the major, untold stories of our time is the rapid movement toward global oligarchy, in which just a handful of billionaires now own and control a significant part of the world economy. It is not acceptable that the top 1% of the world’s population owns half the planet’s wealth, while the bottom 70% of the working age population accounts for just 2.7% of global wealth.
Gary Reber Comments:
The question I have for Bernie Sanders is if he supports honoring the principles of private property ownership, how does he propose to empower EVERY child, woman, and man to acquire ownership stakes in the corporations now growing the economy and those in the future that will grow the economy so that we achieve dividend earnings for EVERY citizens, as do the wealthy capital asset ownership class who now owns America?
While Bernie Sanders support Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs) (see http://www.foreconomicjustice.org/?p=18091 and http://www.foreconomicjustice.org/?p=14946), these solutions only work for those who are employed by corporations, not the majority of citizens.
For solutions that encompass wealth-creating, income-producing ownership opportunities for EVERY citizen, employed or not, see the Agenda of The JUST Third WAY Movement (also known as “Economic Personalism”) at http://foreconomicjustice.org/?p=5797, http://www.cesj.org/…/the-just-third-way-basic…/ and http://www.cesj.org/…/the-just-third-way-a-new-vision…/.
