It’s an idea that may sound appealing at first glance, but will, Johnston predicts, end up more about defining the word “manufacturing” than supporting true manufacturing and manufacturing jobs.”
Such tax policy without the requirement that future capital formation investments broaden ownership of new productive capital assets will only result in further concentrated ownership and deny opportunity to the American majority to participate in the future wealth creation of the American economy.
