Political Civility Should Not Be An Oxymoron (Demo)

Chancellor Professor of Public Policy at the University of California, Berkeley Robert Reich on May 2, 2012 discusses the state of civility in politics today. Sponsored by the Center on Civility and Democratic Engagement at the Goldman School of Public Policy. This is a MUST EXPERIENCE enlightening analysis. Reich prefaces his remarks with:

“Why it is that we are seeing such a unique kind of political incivility. It is not just nastiness, it is also a kind of trench warfare of the first world war variety in which neither side moves. There is no dialogue; there is no discussion; there is no persuadability. Both sides are locked in. It is complete paralysis. In fact, there is no public debate at all. It is incivility without debate.”
