On CBS This Morning on May 7, 2012, reported on the annual list of America’s top 500 corporations released by Fortune magazine. Fortune’s Managing Editor, Andy Serwer, speaks to the CBS This Morning co-hosts about the biggest winners.
Republicans blame Obama’s policies for creating the stagnant economy, stagnant has not been the experience of the top largest 500 corporations, who produced record profits in 2011, largely by laying off American workers, moving jobs overseas, and cutting costs and investments in America.
These corporations should be the targets for financial mechanism reform to incentivize them to finance their growth in ways that broaden private, individual ownership.
